The wonderful TED talk on Angela Lee Duckworth's "Grit: The Power of Photo Retouching Passion and Patience" reminded me of my workshop to increase creativity and determination. Duckworth talks about how the "grit" is the best predictor of success in any situation. This is a characteristic that is increasingly being advocated as a "growth mindset" by top tech companies. I have found that the best way to develop and maintain a growth mindset over the long term is in the day-to-day Photo Retouching actions of creativity and resilience.

As a kid, we all paint, paint, and make great shapes. I used to be free to interrupt singing and dancing. But for some reason, some of us transform into less creative beings because of social or economic pressure. We find it difficult to learn or invent something new. Fortunately, simple techniques can train our minds and make change more open and acceptable.
